Thirsty Thursday: National Margarita Day!

This Sunday, February 22nd, is National Margarita Day and Oscar Day!  Below are a few recipes to get you in the festive spirt from Powell & Mahoney, whether you celebrate National Margarita Day or the ending of award season! Roasted Jalapeno Margarita: In a shaker, mix equal parts Powell & Mahoney Roasted Jalapeno Margarita mixer and 100% blue agave blanco tequila Shake and strain over ice into a Margarita or Old Fashioned glass Garnish with a lime wedge Find more recipes on The National Margarita Day website!  http://nationalmargaritaday.com/ Gold Bar Punch (serves 10): Mix together 1 bottle VSOP Cognac, 1 bottle Powell & Mahoney Lemon Sour mixer, ½ bottle Powell & Mahoney Ginger mixer, 1 cup fresh pineapple juice and 1 cup cold water Chill for several hours before serving When ready to serve, pour into a large punch bowl over the gold bar ice block Top with 1 bottle chilled Champagne and stir Add orange slice   Stay thirsty!

Thirsty Thursday Valentine’s Day Cocktails and World Nutella Day!!

Today is a combination of one of two of my favorite days…thirsty Thursday and World Nutella Day!!!  No, I didn’t combine the two for today’s recipes, but I did bring a no-bake Nutella Fudge recipe to the blog and a bunch of delicious Valentine’s Day cocktails!  You should even put the Nutella Fudge on the menu for your Valentine’s Day because it will surely be a hit it your Valentine likes Nutella! Nutella Fudge: 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil 1/4 cup Nutella 1/2 cup cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder) 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (or agave nectar) 1/4 honey 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract pinch fine grain sea salt, to taste 3/4 cup raw hazelnuts, roughly chopped; 1/4 for garnish on top, the rest to be stirred into fudge (previous recipe using almond butter and walnuts HERE) Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir until combined Line a meatloaf pan with wax paper and pour fudge into pan Top with leftover hazelnuts Place in freezer for about an hour until fudge hardens Slice and enjoy!  If you aren’t …

Can you believe that Christmas is three weeks away?!  If you aren’t already in the festive spirit, today’s post is two cocktails to put you in the holiday spirit. Thirsty Thursday: July 4th Cocktails!

With July 4th being tomorrow, I had to give you some delicious July 4th cocktails!  Follow the recipes below to make your BBQ or party just a bit more festive! Bohemia Fireworks: 2 strawberries 1.5 oz Bohemia beer 1.5 oz spiced rum .5 oz simple syrup ½  oz lemon Muddle the strawberries and add the rest of the ingredients Shake all ingredients and pour over ice in a collins glass Top with Bohemia beer Herradura’s Red, White and Blue Berries: 1½ oz. If you are cooking your love a nice home-cooked dinner, you will probably serve a bottle of wine, but you can serve a cocktail or two before dinner or before you leave for your restaurant reservation.  Here are a few recipes to chose from! Labor Day Festivties Part 1

As the last weekend of the summer comes to a close and the kids go back to school (if not already!), what better way to end the summer than with a big, huge BBQ bang?!  Today’s post is going to put you in a party and BBQ mood!  Let’s start with some cocktails! Sobieski Island Sunburst: 2 oz. Sobieski Toasted Coconut Vodka 2 oz. orange juice ½ oz. cranberry juice Serve in a tall glass over ice End of Summer Blues: 2 ½ oz.  Sobieski Cytron Vodka 2 oz. Blue Curacao 1 oz. orange juice Serve in a rocks glass with ice Garnish with orange slice Camusrita: 2 oz. CAMUS VSOP Elegance Cognac 1 oz. lime juice 1 oz. orange juice 1 oz.
